seriously, i had some of the best food i have ever eaten in my life while on our honeymoon in Taswegia (i won’t mention the alternate name for the state that Jerusha came up with – you’ll have to ask her yourself). personal highlight was probably the blueberry, lime and gin sorbet thing at the Henry Jones Art Hotel in Hobart (J claimed she could have bathed in it if there had been enough, hmmmm….). but it was a close contest. one place we stayed even had an authentic French 2 Michelin star chef (yes, i am bragging now), it said in the blurb that he cooks in the Modern Tempermental style whatever that means (beer sorbet in the sweets course) but it tasted friggin’ fantastic. and not just there but most of the places we ate at were execeptional.
oh and the scenerey was nice too.
the wedding was a great day as J has already reported and the honeymoon was way too quick but really good. now we just have to work out how to get back there again to see more of the place.
i’ll get around to posting a photo up here at some point.

Hello all,
I can happily report that I am now officially a married woman. And my name is NOT changing. And if we have babies at some point they will have DOLAN in their name somewhere.
Wedding went off without a hitch and for those of you that missed it – too bad, good food, champagne and a good time was had and you missed out. Poor Michelle at home sick. Honeymoon to Tassie awesome (except whn M got a migraine and had no pain killers, tried to keep driving and then gotty shirty when I told him to pull over because he was being a maniac on a very thin and windy road).
Pt Arthur, Hobart, Gordon River, Cradle Mountain. Scenery amazing. Food outstanding… couldn’t ask for more (except mersyndol)! Will get M to post a photo.
And this sunday, I am off to work at Olympic Dam. Couldn’t really get much further in the other direction to Tassie climate and lifestyle wise.
JD

well, just one.
yes. its come to this. already. there is of course the possibility that at some point i will post something erudite, intelligent and interesting (let’s face it J is far more likely to fulfill that criteria) but for the moment… more pointless drivel for the 2 people who read this thing. still, its working a treat as my current procrastination tool of choice.
the review.
location – cnr anzac highway and south rd
advertised product – TAB (the betting agency not the soft drink)
so what have we got here; a plain green background with a TAB logo in the bottom right corner and big boring white text stating “The Thinking Man’s Recreation”.
that’s it.
dodgy on a number of levels.
1/2 a star (and that’s only because it has at least managed to catch my attention – even if for the wrong reasons).
