old dog, new tricks

aka Adventures of a Mature Age Uni Student
or a mid-thirties nerd takes up BA study to counteract terminal boredom and lack of career motivation at work (if anyone from work reads this that is a joke).

the 3 of you who sometimes read this blog already know i am doing a part time Arts degree @ Adelaide Uni. This semester i am doing 2 subjects; 1st year Foundation to Linguistics and a 2nd year philosophy subject – Cognitive Science: Minds, brains and computers. both of which have the potential to be really interesting or completely fry my tiny little brain until it runs out of my ears.

so, i thought i might start an occasional series of posts here about my forays around campus (and just possibly a little procrastination when i have essays due and the like).

For example, if i wasn’t a happily married man i might make the observation that it is summer and the uni grounds are bursting @ the seams with lots of sexy women wearing very little clothing. of course i’m not looking myself. or things like the fact that today in the refrectory all of their menus were advertising a special of the day called “Honey Soy Chicken Things”. mmmmm chicken things, yummy.

that’s it for now (stay tuned for further equally insightful and erudite academic discourse) i’m off to study (read as fuck about on the net).
